I recently did a branding shoot with the lovely Ruth from Ruth’s sewing studio.
Ruth makes bespoke accessories using handpicked, colourful, exciting fabrics. She didn’t like being limited to what the high street had to offer, so she created her own shop full of choice and creativity. You can find Ruth, here.
Ruth got in touch because she wanted some new photos for her website and social media. In particular she was keen to have some photos of herself, so she could share some “Meet the maker” posts with her customers.
Before the shoot, we met for coffee (perks of working with local people!), and had a lovely chat about the joys of commuting in London, the nuances of the school PTA, as well as the challenges of setting up and running your own small business!
On the day of the shoot, we met up at her home in Barnet, which allowed me to get some shots of Ruth in her home studio, as well as few in her garden.

Ruth is now armed with a whole gallery of photographs and video clips (including a ready-to-upload reel) that she can use across her social media and website for months to come, saving her so much precious time that she can use to sew her beautiful bespoke pieces instead!
