Hi, I am JANE
Home for me is London. I was born in North London, and now live here with my Scottish husband and 3 children. My dad gave me my first camera in 2005, a Canon AE-1, and I’ve been a Canon girl ever since (my current workhorse is the Canon R6). Back then, I loved taking photos of my family and friends, my travels and everyday adventures - throw in some beautiful light and shadows and I couldn't be happier! That hasn’t changed. I still love to document small details and the quiet beauty of everyday life. That way of seeing is at the heart of how I photograph.
Before photography, I spent years working in the corporate world as an accountant, running on autopilot whilst raising three young children. In 2022, I took a risk to build something braver, more personal and since then I’ve been drawn to create images that feel real and authentic. Through photography, I’ve found a way to bring together what matters most to me: connection, honesty, and the beauty in the details. My work is about celebrating real stories and creating space for natural moments to unfold.
I want to show people that their story is enough, exactly as it is. I focus on what’s real: honest interactions, natural light, moments that feel like you. I’m there to blend in, observe and capture what’s happening. If being in front of the camera makes you feel awkward, I completely understand. I’ll guide you, providing gentle prompts, if needed, to help you feel relaxed, and make space for you to be yourself. The result is a collection of images that feel calm, genuine and true to you.
