10 moments of 2025.
Another year of shoots, stories and so many moments to look back on. I really enjoy writing these round-ups at the end of the year. I think they are more for me than for anyone else, but hopefully they are interesting if you've ever wondered what a photographer really photographs across a year.
Most of my shoots are weddings and branding sessions for local small business owners, but the variety in between is what keeps me pushing my creativity.
Here are some top moments from 2025.
1. Travel
FAMILY HOLIDAYS TO SICILY AND Berchtesgaden
This year I have been so lucky to visit two beautiful and largely untouched places. I always thought that I was a beach person, but when we had the chance to go anywhere and we chose to visit Mount Etna and the German Alps, I think I have to admit I’m more of a mountains person now! Both places just had so much character, and felt so welcoming.
2. Project 365

This year I took on a personal project to take a photograph everyday. I talk more about it in this post if you want to know why I decided to take this on!
I started the year off strong through and managed to complete January through to April. Then, as expected, once client work picked up, keeping up with taking, editing, uploading a photo a day wasn't realistic.
I’m not beating myself up for not managing a full 365 days, because the project did what I needed it to, and kept me inspired and creative during the darker, quieter months. I have really enjoyed looking back on the photos, and I’ll decide what iteration of the project I want to take on next year.
3. Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Sammy & Glen are huge lovers of the outdoors, and the one thing that they truly wanted was an outdoor ceremony. In classic UK style, the forecast for that Saturday in June was a washout. But (bury the sausage), and the weather held off just long enough and they were able to have their dream ceremony.
4. Dog ring bearer

I love photographing weddings at the London Town Halls. They’re already beautifully decorated with such a distinctive vibe, which means couples can easily add their own personal touches.
Ally and Ben brought their beautiful dog to the ceremony. She was the ring bearer, joined us for the couple portraits, and reception celebration in the evening too.
5. From Small business to Family
FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT WITH BRANDING CLIENT
I first photographed Janks a few years ago for branding images for her family-friendly PT business, with her son joining us on the shoot. Since then, her family has grown, and she invited me back to photograph her newborn daughter and their new life as a family of four at home.
There’s something so special about clients returning at different stages of their lives, and it tells me the photos meant something to them. Being able to support her both in her business and now in her family life feels incredibly meaningful, and I’m really grateful she trusted me again for such a personal moment.
6. Non Corporate, Storytelling Photography

I recently photographed my local tennis and squash club, and when they told me the brief was “non-corporate and storytelling,” I couldn’t have been happier. This was completely aligned with the way I love to work.
It was such a lovely project, capturing the sense of community, the coaching, the friendships, and the genuine passion for the sport. A very different feel to traditional sports photography, and I enjoyed every minute.
7. Community - local primary school

I photographed our local primary school for their new website, and what struck me most was the sense of community. Seeing the teachers in their element, completely tuned in to the children and the pace of the day, was genuinely inspiring. There’s so much care, energy and commitment behind the scenes, and it was a privilege to witness even a small part of it.
8. Work Experience Student

One of the things I miss most about my previous corporate job is the chance to train and mentor others. Being self-employed, you don’t get that very often.
So when I was asked to take on a work experience student, I was really excited. We went on a family shoot together, talked about everything from creativity to running a business, and she very kindly took some behind-the-scenes photos of me.
9. Small Business Connections

It really does take a village. Connections and small businesses supporting one another is everything. At a recent Mum Club event I was photographing, I met Nellie from Away Wills and grabbed some photos of her beside her setup.
A few months later, we used her to write our will, and I would highly recommend her. An extremely personal, thoughtful service. Proof that community really does come back around.
10. Filming on Shoots

More and more of my shoots now include a video element, and I’m loving it. There’s something magical about video that brings the feeling of a moment to life in a completely different way.
I’ve created reels, intro videos, wedding highlights and little story-driven clips alongside my photography and I enjoy it so much. I love this new skill and can happily get lost in editing for hours.
I am so grateful for all my clients and opportunities in 2025, and I hope that in 2026 I'll have just as much variety to explore my creativity, and tell more people's stories with my photography. If you would like to have your photo taken in 2026, I'd love to hear from you.
