Sarah and Franco's Micro wedding in Chelsea, London
The week before Christmas brings such a sense of excitement, which was in full flight as I was walking down the Kings Road in Chelsea, passing all the festive windows, towards Chelsea Old Town Hall where Sarah and Franco were getting married, just 5 days before Christmas!
What a beautiful, intimate wedding it was, witnessed by their immediate families, as well as the couple’s two young boys. Even though ceremonies at the iconic venue are typically only 25 minutes long, theirs was packed full of personality and all the feels. They walked up the aisle to a beautiful recording of their friend singing (she couldn't be there in person) with their eldest son as ring bearer, holding the rings in one hand - and a toy car in the other! The bride even breast fed their youngest whilst the witnesses were signing, and the newlyweds walked out to “Driving home for Christmas”! These are just a few of the details that I love to capture that made their day so wonderfully unique.

“Jane’s presence at our incredibly intimate, immediate family wedding didn’t feel remotely intrusive - she instantly felt like a close family friend by my side. Jane, you’re magnificent - thank you again!”

After the ceremony, we had some group and couple shots on the famous Old Town Steps, before the Sarah and Franco left their wedding guests for a few couples portrait shots. Even though they are parents, they are also a couple in love, and today on their wedding day I wanted to make sure that was celebrated. I made time to capture some gorgeous couple shots of the newlyweds in and around the beautiful streets off the kings road, which provided a wonderful mixture of classical and quirky backdrops! That’s all it took to get an amazing variety of photos of the happy couple, before they were reunited with the rest of their wedding party for lunch (plus prosecco) to celebrate!
“Jane is a rare find and we are so grateful to have met her. Remarkably talented and equally lovely. She has blown our expectations out of the water, and I just want to shout from the roof tops about this gorgeous lady who has gone above and beyond for us.”

Are you getting married? Whether you are having a full day wedding, or a micro wedding like Sarah and Franco, I would love to photograph your day for you. If you love natural candid photography of you and your family & friends, I’d love to hear from you.
